Podiatry is a specialist area of healthcare, allied to medicine which involves care and maintenance of foot and lower limb conditions.
As podiatrists our aim is to improve the independence, mobility and general quality of life of our patients.
We treat feet of all ages - enabling you to do as much as you can - whether it’s going for a walk or playing rugby, putting the rubbish out or building a tree house! All the things that require your feet to work. That’s why we’re here.
Podiatry/Chiropody isn’t just
about nail cutting!
In 2003 the law changed regarding the registration of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. All of our Podiatrists were also known as State Registered Chiropodists prior to this change. Only practitioners who have satisfied the criteria for registration with the HPC can use the title of Podiatrist or Chiropodist. It is an offence to use these titles if not on the HPC register.
We are all registered by the Health Professions Councilwhich regulates a number of healthcare professions in the UK.
We are also members of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
Our podiatrist constantly update their knowledge by undertaking courses and other professional development activities.
